What Unlid collects, why we use it, and the choices available to creators and fans.
1. Information we collect
We collect creator account information such as name and email; profile details; campaign copy, settings, and uploaded media; payment references and plan status supplied by Dodo Payments; support messages; contribution and referral activity; approximate location when available; and security signals such as device, browser, and network data. When a campaign creator enables participant details, we also collect the participant name together with either a mobile number or company email address entered before joining.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, operate campaigns, count and protect contributions, display creator identity, provide analytics, process entitlements, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support and legal requests, enforce our Terms, and improve the service.
3. Security and device protection
Raw network identifiers used for anti-abuse checks are transformed into one-way hashes before persistent storage. Public campaign pages do not display a fan’s email, raw IP address, or device signature. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we use access controls and data minimisation appropriate to the service.
4. Payments and service providers
Dodo Payments processes checkout, taxes, invoices, subscriptions, and refunds and may act as merchant of record. Authentication is provided through the site’s secure sign-in service. Campaign data and uploads are hosted using Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Participant names and contact details collected for a campaign are visible only to that campaign’s signed-in creator and are never displayed on the public reveal. We otherwise share information only with service providers needed to run Unlid, when a creator deliberately publishes it, to complete a requested transaction, to protect users or the service, or when required by law. Creator analytics do not expose raw fan device identifiers.
6. Retention
We retain account, campaign, transaction, acceptance, moderation, and support records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting duties, prevent abuse, and resolve disputes. Archived content may remain in backups for a limited period.
7. Your choices and rights
You may update creator profile information in Studio. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection through Support. We may need to verify your identity and retain information required by law or legitimate security needs.
8. International use, children, and updates
Information may be processed in countries where our providers operate. Unlid is not directed to children under 13, and paid creator accounts must be operated by someone legally able to contract. We will update the date above when this policy changes.
